Beyond Farmers’ Markets

Louisville’s innovative Farm to Table program aims to bring a local-food movement to the masses

Welcome to St. Matthews Farmers Market’s Seventh Season!

Whether attending the market feels like a reunion or it’s your first time, there’s no better place to be on a spring Saturday in Louisville.

We’re fortunate that many of our vendors have been part of the market since its inception and that all of the vendors represent the best of local farmers, food producers, bakers, artisans, and more. New vendors often begin as an alternate, then move on to a permanent space.

Be sure to check out information on Our Vendors and the Market Map for a good overview of the market. Or…just let serendipity be your guide. Either way, it will be a good morning!

Each week you can be assured that the coffee will be flowing, the breakfast burritos, omelets and gyros will be cooking, and the conversation will be outstanding!  Come visit and support your favorite vendors while taking a look at some of our new ones and exploring what they bring to the market. Bring a friend and help spread the word about the market and all the great things going on.

We’re continuing our tradition of providing music.  Click on the date on the market calendar to find out who is playing each week.

You might notice a photographer roaming the market. We’re excited to partner with Carl Hirst with Hirst Imaging who’s providing some of the photography for the market newsletter and website. Stop by the market booth for more information.  And, like in previous seasons, a cadre of volunteers will be on hand to help with parking, providing market information, and making your visit enjoyable.

Join us each week throughout the season to discover the best of locally grown and produced food and goods. So grab your market bags, leave your dogs at home (except for service dogs), and bring your family and friends. See you at the market!
